SMTING Bag Runway Commerce Livestream
A runway-style e-commerce livestream for bag brand SMTING at Side View Studio in Panyu, combining five-camera production, mobile follow-shooting, and scenario-based directing.
Background
On March 22, 2025, the XinChuan Studio livestream team went to Side View Studio in Panyu to provide professional e-commerce livestreaming for bag brand SMTING, completing a runway-style brand presentation broadcast.
This was not a conventional fixed-camera product stream. It was a brand-oriented commerce production that needed to combine product information, model movement, presenter explanation, and scene design into a coherent viewing rhythm.
Execution
- The livestream was designed around people, products, and place: models showed how the bags looked in motion, the presenter explained product information, and the studio scenes created a travel-oriented consumption context.
- Three fixed cameras and two mobile cameras formed a five-camera output, balancing overall scene, product details, presenter delivery, and runway movement.
- Simulated subway, street, and corridor spaces allowed the bags to appear in realistic movement rather than only on a static display table.
- The switcher followed model movement, presenter pacing, and product display points to keep the stream both commercially informative and visually fluid.
Field Plan
As one of the studio’s first recent brand commerce livestreams, the project placed higher demands on planning, directing rhythm, camera switching, and production technique. During rehearsal, the team had to quickly understand product characteristics and brand positioning, then turn the livestream from product display into style-building.
During the field execution, the technical plan changed temporarily and the wireless video link encountered signal loss. The team adjusted the chain under pressure and maintained a stable five-camera output with smooth visuals and clear sound. Senior members led newer members through the real commercial brief, helping them practice camera work, switching, intercom communication, and signal support in a high-pressure setting.
Takeaways
The SMTING project broadened the studio’s service boundary. It transferred experience from campus event livestreaming into a commercial setting that cares about product expression, brand storytelling, and consumer conversion.
For the studio, this kind of commerce livestream is valuable not only as a completed service, but also as a real project where technical training, creative practice, and capability demonstration happen together. It gives the team reusable experience for future commercial livestreams, brand events, runway presentations, and scenario-based product launches.
