Southeast Asian Culture Festival Livestream
Indoor and outdoor multi-scene livestreaming for the first Southeast Asian Culture Festival, combining fixed cameras, roaming cameras, wireless video transmission, and switcher monitoring to cover booths, opening proceedings, and water-splash interaction.
The first Southeast Asian Culture Festival was organized by the School of Oriental Languages and Cultures, with an event site covering the opening ceremony, cultural booths, outdoor interaction, and a water-splash segment. For the livestream team, the challenge was not only to capture clear pictures, but also to build a stable online viewing path across a constantly changing activity space.
Before the event, the team planned the livestream script, camera dispatch, and director-camera coordination, then used rehearsal to confirm the signal chain and role assignments. The switching station organized audio and video output through OBS monitoring, a BMD 4K switcher, and on-site communication, while camera operators moved between fixed and roaming positions according to the event flow.
The outdoor portion took place at Nansha Waterbird World Ecological Park, an open site with changing crowd movement, booth interaction, and water-splash activities. The team used multiple wireless video transmission sets and stabilization systems to support mobile filming, allowing roaming cameras to enter booth, interview, and interaction areas while fixed cameras preserved context and venue relationships.
The livestream was distributed through GDUFS Admissions on WeChat Channels and Bilibili. The project strengthened the studio’s ability to handle productions that combine indoor procedure, outdoor interaction, and multi-point movement, while adding reusable experience in signal stability, mobile shooting, and live rhythm judgment for cultural event broadcasts.
